My wife and I are thinking about moving to the Fort Collins area. I have never been to Colorado and would like any information on were the best elk/deer hunting would be. Antler Auction 2003
I heard some of the ones that were scored by Boone&Crockett sold good. Antler Hunting
One of the horseman did get hit with a blunt arrow. Some guy dumped his horse with antlers strapped to it's back. Needless to say the horse wasn't feeling to well afterwards. -

Since I work at the Elk Refuge I have a problem with this mahem. What people don't talk about is the people that go into winter range weeks early and stash horns and then rush in to get there stashes when the winter range opens. Do these people care about the surrounding wildlife? Hell no! All... -

Elkhunter, I just got back from South Dakota pheasant hunting so I didn't get to hunt untill Tuesday of this week. I have not heard of much moving thru Blacktail. Friday there was a herd of 400 to 500 that came to the refuge from the East,probably wilderness elk. There wasn't any hunters around... -

archer, I actually used my buddies gun since mine was having problems. His gun was a Ruger 25-06, which he used to take a big buck about a week and a half ago.- Skeeter
