there is a little timber in the area so ill have to key in on that. Have you noticed if they tend to hangout on South facing slopes most of the day or is weather still dictating that?
Ive been looking into subscribing to their outdoor class so i might have to pull the trigger on that! whats the best way to tell if private has been used for crops or pasture? I tend to avoid private so I havent spent much time digging into that kinda thing, thanks!
Hey everyone,
My Colorado archery elk hunt hit the fan big time so we snagged a leftover 4th season Cow tag in unit 18 in hopes of filling the freezer. I have yet to strictly hunt Cows so just looking for any little tips that could help out. I know that cows are going to push to lower...
I tried to get around a couple of them as you said but I just never seemed to be in the right position and as you mentioned a lead hen could have pulled them away. I can definitely use work on my calling but I have had some good "conversations" with a couple of hens this year so I must sound...
I have been trying to pattern birds like that but it seems like they are just constantly roaming out here. It seems like they dont have much of a "daily routine", they kind of move all day while feeding and roost where they end up that night

Thanks for the info! If you dont mind my asking, how do you determine where they want to be? Is that just something you scout for a few days prior to hunting? I am still trying to find my own "honey holes" so a lot of my hunting is at new places I have never been prior to the day I show up to...
It doesnt help when you watch youtube videos and every one you see is these Turkeys running to a call haha! I guess they dont show the birds that dont work the way they want them to!
