Thoughts on the best 1911 / 2011 in 10mm
While that’s probably true, I had a charging feral hog soak up 7 rounds of 9mm on the way to collapsing at my feet. And he was only about a buck fitty. I now carry a 10mm stuffed with Buffalo Bore. Not sure how many of those a pissed off bear can handle, but it’s a verified one shot stopper on... -

Did my dog get bit by a copperhead?
We did the first time. They said most bites are dry, but even if it’s a live bite, unless the copperhead hits a major blood vessel it’s usually just a waiting game. The rattlers and cottonmouths are a very different matter. Benadryl doesn’t help the symptoms; it’s just to calm her.- Sam Colt

Mine takes one to the snout on our ranch every year. She climbs me like a jungle gym at avoidance training, but every damn summer she slinks in with her nose as big as a Folgers can and lies down on the couch panting. The swelling drops to her neck the next day and then disappears. So far...- Sam Colt

Planning my first Texas hog hunt - any input is appreciated....
Hogs are predominantly nocturnal feeders in areas with hunting pressure. Sunrise and sunset are the best time to catch them at feeders without lights. With lights, it’s game on.- Sam Colt

NightHogs in Seguin does a great job of getting you on hogs at night with excellent equipment. It’s fun to walk up on unsuspecting pigs with night vision, and these guys have the system down. Seguin is south of Austin, and you can hit Blacks in Lockhart for some great BBQ.- Sam Colt
