Went to swat training in Vegas for about 10 years in a row. Damn near starved to death using my per dieum shooting craps. Great training none the less.
I was issued an MP-5 but nothing like going out and running a 50 cal. Have fun.
I run a 338 Jarrett, just a little more case capacity. It's capable of 3k but shots better at2925 to 2950 with 250 gr Accubonds. I've killed at from bayonet distance to 501 yards, those bullets are flawless out of a fast 33. Worth a try.
My place is surrounded by them. I am disappointed for sure. Not sure the locals will give a damn, really wonder how they're going to enforce it in much of the ground they own.
We’ve got an Airstream (2006) One minor plumbing issue in all that time and it was my fault. We were pre lithium and early if not pre solar charging options. The solar was easy to add but converting to Lithium was too expensive for me. From 2011 when I retired until last year we put about 10k...
Try the Accubond, they are typically as accurate as Ballisctic tips, hold together through heavy bone. I’ve never messed with the 120 ballistic tips in my 7s.
I still don’t sleep much the night before season opens, have never set an alarm clock through out the season and every one in camp is always pissed because I’m up early than needed. Coffee is ready and the tents are warm because I got everything going but they still bitch a little. Love hunting...
I’ve been packing a rifle with tags in my pocket for at least 58 years. Hunted from Alaska to Mexico, to the east as far as the Dakotas and even South Africa. Guided for quite a while as well. Had a lot of fun and have filled most of those tags. The day I don’t get all jacked up I’ll quit...
Wait/what I’ve always believed I couldn’t do something like that without one of my 338s. I’ve got my 275 stoked up to the low 29s with 140 Accubonds and mid 29s with the ttsx. Will be trying Hammers soon. I’m not breaking both shoulders on an elk and getting an exit with the 140s but it is...
The last few years I’ve carried a 275 Rigby (7x57) loaded with 140 Accubonds for deer and elk in Montana. Most of my life I’ve used a 300 or 338 for elk but have found the 140 Ab will work.
Might leave the 300 at home this spring and take the 140Accubonds to Africa.
