Given that I have the combo, depending how the bow season goes, I think I will be hunting 11/4-11/19. Should be good for deer and hopefully get some snow to pusht eh deer down. Trying to find some decent glassing spots to hole up in.

Thanks Dan O! If we hunt that time that lines up with the deer rut do you see low BLM lands holding elk? Or are they mostly on private by then? That is my biggest concern is we get out there mid November and the elk have largely moved on to private lands down low. Then we are kind of out for...

Hey Eyjonas, I have it narrowed down to going during the general rifle hunts, so that's why I just did those dates. Nothing wrong with the shoulder seasons or Muzzy, we just have the option to go sometime during the general rifle.

Slm864, Yeah I only have 7 points so drawing an archery tag in unit 49 might be a tall task too. If not then it's a 0 point muzzy tag for me. Haha Eother way I can't wait to hit the elk woods. I should draw the MT general tag this year too so I plan to make a few trips west!
