Great writeup. I don't know if I could have kept my finger off the trigger as long as you did. Your gift of a good tale is so important to convey what happened so others can enjoy as well. Look forward to the next one. Congratulations on a beast of a sheep.
I'm guessing you have the 72-74 tag. I was just out in 73 getting my 83 year old dad on cow elk. We only had two days but i got him six good shooting opportunities, but we just didn't get it done for various reasons. One turned out to be a bull by the time we got over the canyon to it. My pa...
My nephew had the August depredation tag last year. I am the unofficial guide, so I did a bunch of scouting. They are easy to find and easy to get on unless everyone shows up on the same field and wont back off long enough for them to get off the field. I eventually had to go to each truck...

Fantastic tag and you made the most of it. Awesome you got to hear them sounding off. I hope they are still doing that next weekend when we are in there for our spike tags. There are certainly some sketchy places in there that makes you question how the heck the elk get in and out of the...
I woke up early on Nevada tag results morning and started checking to see what everyone got and couldn't believe how lucky my girlfriend was to get a second bull elk tag in two years.
Refresher on the first story here...
I too enjoyed the course when i went. Didn't really learn anything new but i think its more designed to keep you thinking all the time. $300 is a lot of a safety training course. They really should be inexpensive to get more people to take them but i understand the revenue side.
