    Ft/lbs or fps? Many bullet manufacturers list 1800 ft/sec as the lower threshold for bullet expansion. I don’t pay attention to ft/lbs, I’ve seen too many examples of animals ignoring energy. P

    7mm-08 in the rifle she likes best. Let her pick it out. Fit is crucial. Just about any factory 140 grain load will be fine. The Hornady 150 eldx is available in factory form as well. I handload the eldx for all of our 7mm-08s. They're all Tikkas. P

    140 AB 47.5 grains Big Game Winchester Large Rifle Magnum primer 2.805” 2870 fps Stainless T3 Lite My dad’s last bull, in 2015. A single 140 AB at 225 yards, 90 feet stagger and fell over. Max load so work up. P
