    Elk .... Let's see them!!!

    Shot this bull on September 8th in northeast Oregon. I was in a treestand over a wallow when he came in at 5pm...the shot was 8-9 yards and he went 30 yards, stopped, and fell over. Second bull in 3 years at this wallow.

    We found this California Bighorn during a sheep hunt on the John Day River a few weeks ago. Not allowed to keep them in Oregon, so had to drop it off at ODFW.

    Found this buck last winter, NOT a lion kill. Most of mine are lion kills on a winter range here in Oregon.

    I make quite a few wood arrows. Mostly use Douglas Fir shafts anymore...slightly heavier and tougher then POC.

    Pretty slow day on the river...but at 11:30am I got a bite and this tasty 13# buck was persuaded to come home with us. :)
