    Got me an 8 pounder

    Thursday morning about 9:42... 8 pounds 2 ounces and 20" long! But he's not green, he's kind of pink and he eats, sleeps, and craps most of the time. And I don't think I will release him, he's a keeper... future fishing buddy.

    That reminds me of when my uncle used to tie his boys to a pine tree up on the Henry's Fork of the Snake River in Island Park, Idaho. He'd leave the rope just long enough so the boys could fish but couldn't get in the water. Then he'd take off down the river and fish.
