Everybody relax, it'll all be paid for with tariff revenue, even after every American gets a $2000 check and federal income tax is eliminated. It's truly amazing how dumb our politicians think Americans are. I guess it has worked for a long time because legacy media just repeated the political...
Agreed that businesses should be allowed to fail. If that was the case we probably wouldn't have an airline industry right now after COVID. What irks me is that the cheaper option doesn't get a bailout, but the big carriers do, which will ultimately be bad for consumers because the big airlines...
This one was likely allowed to fail because the big carriers wanted them to fail and likely put pressure on the administration to not bail them out. Now those larger carriers can up their prices because they don't have to compete with Spirit. And, if it comes to it, they will get bailed out.
Since the 22/23, each winter we have had in eastern Idaho/NW Wyoming has been average to below average and all the research says mule deer and antelope are rebounding. Elk weren't impacted too much from that winter and they're doing quite well. If this summer is hot and dry it could be a big...
It's usually quite good, but flows could be quite low this year. Although the headwaters are getting a bunch of snow right now and, compared to everywhere else, are in pretty good shape. I wouldn't bank on putting a boat in in October! If nothing else, it is an unbelievable landscape to hang out in.
I think the APRs are a tool to stabilize a herd especially after a catastrophic winter. In this case, it is region G and H in Wyoming, so most people go there with the intent of shooting a good one. WGFD serves the public as well. They updated some of their proposals due to public comment.
Herd...
I want to get an idea of how Hunttalk folks feel about antler point restrictions. The WY G&F commission voted yesterday to retain antler point restrictions in the Wyoming Range and Jackson area that were implemented after the 22/23 winter. The G&F Dept. recommended removing them in those areas...
Check out this report by IDFG. The pie chart on page 8 shows what actually kills calves (this is the elk report, so other ungulates aren't included, I assume).

Predator hunting for the most part is a drop in the bucket. Maybe come out during the summer and join FWP or one of the NGO's on a habitat enhancement project.
Unfortunately, that is the health insurance model. Pay into it when you're young and healthy, start using it and you become too expensive. It's a travesty what healthcare has become in this country and no politician will do anything about it. My condolences. As Randy said, healthcare.gov is...
