    What's on the smoker today?

    I’ll give it a try with half of my backstrap from yesterday’s buck. Northern MN bucks aren’t always the best table fair. It is fun to hunt big woods with low deer densities.

    Love the Snoop Dog reference. I’m sure there are lots of ways to kill a turkey. David killed Goliath with a sling, but the best answer to both of your questions is yes.

    Do you mind pontificating on that? Would it work with venison backstrap? The only things I’ve smoked to date are fish and chicken.

    That’s exactly my point! Let that wolf population increase along with bears and lions and deer and elk heards are going to get thin. Wolves are very efficient predators. I’ll give 99% more lions. A few are sighted on occasion but there is no evidence of a breeding population.

    The wolf population in Montana is about 1/3 of the wolf population in northern Minnesota. Be interesting to see what happens if the Montana wolf population is allowed to triple.

    I’m missing something here. Seems like the cops were just playing a silly game that encouraged them to do their job. This is certainly better than hanging out and not doing their job.
