It is my understanding that the owner of Badlands passed away from cancer earlier this year. After his passing his wife made the difficult decision to close the business.
Just stumbled onto this post. These cans bring back memories as I worked at Sioux Sporting Goods for a handful of years in the early 90s. It was a wonderful store and a great place to work. We used to have kegs of powder stored downstairs and if you wanted you could bring in your 1 pound can...
Not relevant to this discussion and when I am using different lot numbers of components while reloading hunting rounds I would classify the differences noted as negligible. With that being said, my daughter is a competitive precision rifle shooter and you wouldn't believe the difference...
Without ever messing with the CDS I don't quite understand it. If it has a set distance on the turret how does it compensate for environmental variables such as pressure and way more importantly the angle you are shooting?
Which part of the blaze orange requirements are you referring to? I'll copy the requirements from the CPW website and don't see a requirement for backpacks. Am I missing something?
"Not wear at least 500 square inches of solid daylight fluorescent orange or solid florescent pink material above...
Last week my daughter and I were flying to Camp Perry Ohio for the CMP Nationals smallbore competition. A delayed flight caused us to have to spend the night in Chicago meaning we had to collect our checked rifles, she had two rifles in one pelican case, and check them back in the next morning...
Growing up in North Dakota, where Scheels is based, and spending the greater part of my life here, I have been shopping at Scheels my whole life. I was also once employed by Scheels and as others have stated their training and customer service is top notch. Since the downfall of Cabelas, in my...
The best advice I can give you is get out before season to do some scouting to get the lay of the land which will be invaluable during the season. South of the highway that intersects the unit is much more rugged and secluded and will produce many more sanctuary areas than the northern half. The...
North Dakota feels slightly left out since it's only tied in with Minnesota. Considering we consistently live at the top of the list of the "drunkest state" I feel we deserve at least our own line.
Rented from them last winter as I flew into Denver to go to Colorado Springs for a week. They forced me to buy the toll road payment service for the duration, which was more expensive than the car fee, even though I only had tolls on the way out of Denver and the way back to Denver which...
Happy to see this thread here and thanks for sharing your load data. I've had a Bartlein barrel and McMillan stock in production for about 3 months now and am going to turn a Model 70 WSM into a 338 Sherman Short. Hoping the components are here and the smith has it done by July so I can get...
Honest question here. Isn't it true that elk see in the dark and if this is the case what difference does it make if the moon is shining or not? I've heard arguments both ways, most that the full moon hurts hunting, but either way I am not going to miss an elk hunt based on whether the moon is...
