Why have many not done their own research in lieu of wasting $$$ on some company that evaluates draw odds. On the MT website it states draw odds. Surely other lower 48 states must state resident/nonresident odds. Orrrrr, are most just too lazy to put in the research effort? I guess it must be me...- MTGunner

For NR that truly want the experience to hunt bighorn sheep I recommend unit 500 and 501. Both OTC tags. Quota, 2 each for these units. But, you can purchase an OTC tag. Hire a guide, roll the dice. Someone has to score. I went along with a friend that purchased one of these tags. Went in a week...- MTGunner

I purchased all of my resident tags and applied for sheep at region 1 HQ. Was told that resident bonus points are squared. Did not inquire if nonresident points are squared. Do not have that distinct information. If not, how would resident vs. nonresident opportunities be equal? MTG- MTGunner

Degree slopes for goats???
BAKPAKR’s right about terrain, critical terrain, that goats like. Also, you, as an ethical hunter, must decide whether taking a goat and recovering said goat is possible. Degree slopes for goats???
My goat was taken on a 65 degree angle shot. He fell over 500’ before landing on a ledge. It took me over two hours of climbing to get to a point where I could take a good shot and be comfortable with the shot. Mountain goats can and will live in the nose bleed country.
