    Antelope...Lets See Them!!!

    Filled my antelope b tag on opening day in Montana. It’s my first animal with my Weatherby Mark V Hunter I got last fall. A 180 TTSX from a 300 WBY might be overkill for an antelope, but it sure was effective and the TTSX didn’t ruin much meat at all.

    Opening week of archery in Montana. He’s my second bull and he died about 30 yards from where my first one died. I’m not a great elk hunter, but I think I’ve found a great spot.

    Got my first sage grouse today off an absolutely beautiful point by my almost 3 year old GWP, Ada. We saw two large males as well, but they had played the game before and flushed well out of range. Next time.

    I always enjoy when I get a red phase ruffed. A bonus spruce hen is nothing to shake a stick at either. (Unless you’re trying to get it to fly, then the stick may come in handy.)

    Took the dog out for some elk scouting and must’ve put up about a dozen grouse, mostly spruceys like this hen, but we saw some ruffies too. Season will be here soon!
