Thanks! For many years I had a small storage unit in Anchorage, did 12-15 remote hunts from 2002 - 2023. Fall of 2023 was my last one, so I sold all of the gear I had stored. Hope it serves its new owners as well as it served me!
What type of .338 are you looking for? I've got a few hundred rounds of different types (Swift A Frame, Nosler Partition, other various types). Might be able to ship some to you if you are interested.
We had a 300k construction loan a couple of years ago. The way ours worked, we only paid interest on the money we used, when we used it. If we didnt use all 300k, no interest paid on the unused amount.
Wow - I don't know how this never came up, but I just got the notification for it today! So sorry I didn't see it before - were you able to plan and do your AK hunting trip?

I haven't hunted with Tok Air Service, but have hunted caribou many times with 40 Mile Air, so I was hunting the same country that you will be. Responses to your specific questions below...

Great bull and great story, well told! One question -
You mentioned during your mental break that you and your wife went to a couple Phillies playoff games. If you're in Montana, where did you go to see those?
Man, what a great story! Kudos to Dad on transferring a once in a lifetime tag, and kudos to your daughter for sticking with it through the slow days, and being prepared for the shot opportunity when it presented itself!
I've had a .338 WinMag (Ruger Model 77, 3 position safety) for nearly 20 years; it was my Alaska hunting rifle. I loved hunting with that rifle, it probably fits me better than any other rifle I have owned. I like shooting 225 grain or 250 grain Swift A Frames out of it; this year I tried some...
