I'D look at Big Stone on the Dakota/Mn line, Devils Lake, LOTW and a sleeper house. Gull Lake by Brainerd,Mn could be good as well. Tons and tons of places and opportunities. Oahe could work as well...- Mato

340 Wby for my Dream Hunt!!
I've quite a bit of 340 experience. Personally. I'd have that factory brake cut off and toss it and have a Terminator put on it. As well I'd have it bedded. The 340's always been one of the most accurate rounds out there in guns that are well done. Should be in the 3/4" range for 3 rounds... -
Tell me about fly fishing
I'm a huge fan of TFO, grab their entry level rod in a 9' 5 weight (or something darn close), some SA line double taper WF floating and an inexpensive reel and you'll be golden.- Mato

Black bears spring or fall?
If I had to pick (which gladly I don't have to:)....I'd take spring. Generally a longer window of opportunity for good hunting. IMO- Mato

Boy howdy you're right about impossible some of these lands are impossible to ascend, descend, cross etc. My wife had a permit in there this last fall and we often found ourselves in places impossible to negotiate! Add this CE if it goes thru (which I'm sure it will) to the one that's already...- Mato
