Awesome weekend with dad hunting pronghorn in eastern Montana. This is my dad's very first pronghorn and my biggest!! ( early scoring at 79-3/9 ) I'm told 80 for B&C.....so close!! I don't care, certainly a trophy for me:-)
I am applying for a New Mexico rifle hunt. Gila National Forest. Options are 16A, 16B, 16C,16D and 16E. Timing options are Oct 11-15 OR Oct 18-22. Currently I'm leaning more toward unit 16B (which also allows unit 22). HERE IS MY QUESTION.....does anyone know how many out of state...
I can't say much about a 308. I shoot a 7mag......150 grain core-lokt. It does a fantastic job!! Personally I don't shoot front shoulder. I shoot 4-6 inches behind front shoulder. It has NEVER failed me.
Honestly I don't have a problem with it. There are archery hunters that frown on rifle hunters. There are muzzle load hunters that frown on rifle. etc etc etc. In my view its all hunting. As long as we are not talking high fence!! I have no respect for high fence!! Other than that...
I have so many!!! If I had to choose, last years cow elk.....my dad was with me. Or, last years antelope.....my dad was with me. Or, 2012 antelope.....my dad was with me. :-)
Hello ric. I think this is a very kind offer. Personally I'm covered this year for elk hunting, but I hope you find some kind and fun elk hunters to accept your offer. I love a big elk camp! Especially for the first week of the season. If I hear of anyone looking for a great place to hunt...
