    Call me crazy but..8mm Mauser

    I shot my last bull with a 8mm using 200 grain speers. He was about 200 yards. I'd use the 8mm again in a heartbeat. I forget the load I was using, I'm sure I got it in my notes.

    Whats the best deer cartridge?

    ok my buddy and I didn't see eye to eye on the best cartridge for deer, rather its whitetail, blacktail or mule deer. What do you guys think? What's the Best Deer Cartridge? Myself likes the 8mm mauser.

    Sometimes I use an old t shirt and brasso if the case is real dull. Seems to work good.

    Called in my first elk!

    My first time to I called in a spike. He bugled so hi pitched. I thought he was 40 yards away but NOPE. The arrow went cleanly over his back. This weekend I'm taking my son out to camp. He's 14 he got his buck already with his recurve. I simply enjoy watching him be happy.
