Some people that were complaining about the UM slippage on the rail didn’t install the recoil pins. Others installed only one pin. Proper installation is also a thing.
The Tikka trigger that tends to slam fire or fire when taken off safety is sometimes caused by a loose trigger mounting screw. Lock it down.
For UM rings, I always use both recoil pins and torque the clamp screws to 55in/lbs. On NF scopes I go 30in/lbs on the cap screws. No issues.
I use both a Leupold rail and the Unknown Munitions direct mount. I much prefer the Unknown Munitions. However, the rail is a lot more forgiving with scope positioning, if needed. Mine are hunting rifles.
Factory stock?
I have the UM on a 7mm REM Mag, no issues, 28oz? scope.
Both purchased new.

Not planning on shooting it. I think it’s just a cool piece of history to look at and talk about. I found some more period correct rear sights so that’s about all I’m gonna do to it. The front looks to be original? Action and trigger still feel great. Two of my friends already wanted to buy it...
You can have a full mag in with the BCG and dust cover closed. You can also pull and release the charging handle and get one in the chamber, no bolt release required. All your deer, even the deaf ones will running away though.
