    Ive seen quite a few 3x9 scopes on the used market. Leupold and Vortex both have good warranties that make it easier to buy used You can try a Leupold Freedom or Vortex Diamondback if you want new. They should work fine for your purposes.

    I start getting antsy in February. Then some shed hunting and turkeys distract me for a bit. Then usually get busy fishing for a couple months. My reloading room and the archery range has been getting a lot of use lately.

    I don't think Buzz meant the E tip wasn't a good bullet. Just that with a longer copper bullet for weight you will loose some case capacity. Generally go lighter with copper to keep velocity up for expansion. Having said that 140 e tip would be ok as long as you confirm velocity is high enough...
