Hunting season preparations, what did you do today?
Broke a new barrel in on my PRC and hit the weights. built some brownie points up by washing the wife's car. did some map study and escouting...... productive weekend I suppose- jdjtexas

Definitely not another "Caliber Thread" 😬
For me I would like to play with a 257 or a 280 AI next. Im right there with you on the statement that I never "need" another gun/caliber... its always a "want"! This year set on the 6.5 PRC and might stay with that for awhile -

Northern CA/Northern NV lab breeder recommendations
Sorry for your loss. Its the worst part of keeping dogs around for sure. If you look outside of the area you mentioned, let me know. Im down in Texas but I run with some guys that take their labs serious (various trials/hunt tests). Im a setter man my self but having a lab around sure is a close...- jdjtexas

Hunting season preparations, what did you do today?
Mounted new glass on a new rifle; My home garage gym is now clear of Prom decorations as of last night so today Ill lift for the first time in 2 weeks then do my stretching and rolling out. Meal prep this eve and pace patiently till some 419 gear comes in the mail.- jdjtexas

Dallas/Fort Worth eats?
My hometown (TMS in backyard).. Nearby off 35 is a BBQ joint called "407" BBQ in Argyle. Check them out for a local option. Pecan Lodge is great, but in Dallas... Heim in Ft Worth is just as good and have 2 locations closer. Mexican is all over the place and many great options. Los Molcajetes is...- jdjtexas

What did you, or are you still hoping to draw? I’m stoked!
AZ points, Put in on ID Elk CH draw, lined up for a fall ID bear hunt either way and will be hopefully chasing West TX Muleys so long as the private comes through. Fill in the gaps with some whitetail/upland/duck later in the year here in TX/OK/KS- jdjtexas
