I would suggest getting them in SW Montana when you arrive. You can pick them up almost anywhere, Napa, Les Schwab, Murdochs, Quality Supply, etc. and get the correct size to fit your tires, all four, and chain tighteners.
Do not waste your money on any of these products, clothing or sprays. Repeated scientific studies have shown, as would be expected, that none of them work.
I believe Warren Johnson outfitters camp may be in unit 316, possibly 313. The story I've heard is that year before last they didn't shoot an elk in the back country camp. Not sure if its true or not but the backcountry early rifle hunt is a fraction of what it used to be.
Here is a link to the Helena Independent Record with an opinion piece by Mark Robbins of United Property Owners of Montana. Great effort at spreading misinformation:

FWP is reissueing licenses that were returned for refund. Down load the application and send it in and we will issue licenses as available. Go the FWP web site http://fwp.mt.gov/ then “for Hunters” Then under “New: Nonresident Big game and Elk Combination licenses” Then download the app...
I think you'll probably be OK. I believe the gpshuntingmaps will show ownership down to 40 acres maybe, so if you zoom in really tight you will likely not see ownership names at all or may
have to pan around to find the owners name
There was a recent study in ND that examined blood lead levels of people who ate game shot by lead bullets. This study was conducted after a radiologist examined 100 packages
of hunter shot game. About 60% contained lead fragments. The ND study found that the people who ate game regularly had...
Map looks pretty good except in the northern purple zone the map should extend a fair
bit further south and east. I have seen numerous photos, video and have knowledge of
griz much closer to Helena and to the south and east of town. These are frequent observations not random wanderings.
I think that most of us like Montana's season, trophy units, etc. basically the way they are. I just don't get the point of killing boat loads of spikes in some of the trophy managed units instead of letting them grow up to be trophy bulls and offering more bull tags instead. Some would never...
I only wish that our existing trophy units we managed a bit differently. I've not drawn any of these units but if we we're shooting so many spikes in units like the Elkhorns and 339 it seems like there would be alot more big bulls to offer more permits. I like to hunt big bulls every year, too...
Greenhorn it probably was friday, would have said hello but you looked like you were on a mission. I had 13 points this year in Arizona, I drew the last non-resident tag. No other field pics of my Montana bull. Wish FWP would manage out trophy units like Arizona does or at least closer to...
