Anyone had a firearm shipped to US from UK?

That’s what I’m finding out. The UK has an insanely better selection of shotguns (new and used) than what is available here in the states. I haven’t found the exact reason why that is the case though…

Anyone had a firearm shipped to US from UK?

I’ve had an itch for a “nice” O-U 20ga. I’ve looked at several, and keep coming back to the Citori. I have a $1500-$2500ish budget, but I’m much more of a deer Hunter than shotgunner, so the lower end of the budget is preferred. All that to say, I’ve been searching all of the online stores...

    Anyone using rattlesnake vaccine?

Do that many dogs die from rattlesnake bites? We’ve had 3 different dogs gets hit by timbers and diamondbacks, usually in the face. They swell up really bad and get sick for several days, but so far none died from it. Just curious how often a dog would die from a rattlesnake bite. I will say...

    Woodworking Hunt Talkers?

Live edge black walnut that I cut down from my parents’ back yard—finally got it finished up this year. I also build this pedestal table last Fall from Red Oak. Some of you guys are REALLY talented!

    Taxidermy “issue” how to handle?

There are a few that will do the right thing, no matter the cost, but there are very few, unfortunately. Thanks for taking the time to retell the story.

    Taxidermy “issue” how to handle?

That’s a great attitude to have and I would suggest putting something along those lines into a business plan and revisiting it every year. If you always have that mentality you/she will be successful! I’ve had my share of projects that ended up not being profitable, but I make sure that it’s...

    Taxidermy “issue” how to handle?

Not necessarily concerned as my reputation speaks for itself. I’m just not really a person to fight something. Honestly I wish I was, but I just don’t like conflict, to a fault. Also this guys has a great reputation across the state, and I err on the side of it being subjective, since it is...

    Taxidermy “issue” how to handle?

I should specify, probably wouldn’t try anything other than deer for a while, if ever. They’re readily available around here lol

    Taxidermy “issue” how to handle?

I just wanted to update you guys on this, as I REALLY appreciate the advice. I picked up my antelope a week ago. The mount was super clean, hair patterns are very detailed, eyes look good, and the “brows” looked better in person up close. I even left $100 tip. I could tell they weren’t...

Lumber & Paint prices - Out of Control?

OSB was around $8/sheet a year ago and it was $32/sheet just a few weeks ago. It’s crazy!! Haven’t noticed any major increase in paint prices around here.

    If you have a spare half hour . . . .

Thanks for sharing! I drove through that area this past Fall and wish I had seen this documentary prior to that. I knew what the overpass’ function was, but has no idea it was a migration corridor. I saw several of these overpasses in Banff NP. That’s a really cool place too!

Water Heater replacement Ford vs Chevy on brands?

I installed an AO Smith and I made a boneheaded mistake and cracked the gas valve (that extra 1/4 turn to snug it up was too much 🤦🏻‍♂️). I called the manufacturer fully expecting to pay for the replacement valve and they overnighted me a replacement 100% free of charge. Other than that, they...

    Taxidermy “issue” how to handle?

Totally agree. I am self employed and prefer texts for the reasons you mentioned. The one caveat to text is that sometimes we can sound a little more off-putting than intended. I fully intend to give an extra bone for work that is well-done! You also mentioned the reasons as to why I would...
