Are they local? If so - just be there; she’s going to be too overwhelmed to take calls. Don’t ask “what can I do to help” - just be there.
As I’ve been through this in various capacities it’s best to make sure this person isn’t alone
+1 For sun shirts (w/hood), saltwater brands (PFG) are great
I also refuse to own polo shirts - solely on the basis of avoiding being asked “Do you play golf?” ⛳️
I feel like 80% of the coverage Peacock serves me is Curling & Ice Dancing; I have to dig for the actual cool sports replays (biathlon, Nordic, moguls, etc).
Also, really annoying the amount of commercials for a PAID subscription 😑
Winter recreation (skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing) have been non-existent. Now my next concern is our reservoirs and lake-based recreation this summer with minimal runoff and higher needs on the front range
I can see how someone might move on ….but for me it’s too intermingled with my personality, traditions, friendships, life goals/motivations to ever “stop”.
If I ever lose that drive - I’ll just make the challenge harder (species, destinations, weapon choice).
Biathlon/Nordic skiing - through 10th grade was the only school sanctioned “sport”
Bass fishing (Jr Bassmasters), Ice Fishing (Commerial-Yellow Perch), and Waterfowl took up a majority of my free time when I wasn’t working through Middle/High School
There’s lots of new stuff; just none of it makes it to radio.
Aaron Watson - Old Houses
Lanie Gardner- Faded Polaroids
Blake Henderson - Dry County
Waylon Wyatt - Frostbite
Bummer; but also inevitable. BMAC was relatable - Eric’s stuff is interesting most of the time. Casey’s hunts with his kids kinda took everything a bit too far once they started getting OIL tags and hunting private ranches.
Logan seems cool - Matty Ice’s stuff with his Dad is what I’ve stuck...
