How does Jason Carter of Ridge Reaper keep drawing LE late season deer tags in Idaho? Has been at least 2 years in a row now. As far as I know you can't just buy a landowner tag in Idaho like you can in many other states, so he must be drawing them but what are the odds of that?- HONEY BADGER

Things have changed a lot around Laramie in recent years. You used to be able to draw many of the units around there 2nd choice as a non-ressy. Not anymore. Wyo Pronghorn rut and weather
I think there are positives to hunting the rut, but negatives as well. During the rut, the dominant bucks will have large groups of does with them. All these extra eyes and skittish instincts can be hard to overcome when stalking the buck. The does keep them on the move. On the other hand...- HONEY BADGER
