Los Angeles/Socal Friends for 2019 Season and beyond

A little late to this post but would add that there is some great quail hunting within a couple hours of you on BLM and state lands. For cost of gas and shells, you can get a lot of hunting days under your belt in a hurry. I've seen several BHA events in So Cal recently, Ventura is March 20...

    Arizona CC Hits

Got hit for the $650, likely a 2nd choice late season limited opportunity (rifle) but with 3 NR points(y) Will be the first time I've ever drawn a hunt with under a 50% chance! Maybe it's payback for three in a row NOT drawing my home state deer hunt with 90% draw odds!

2016 Public Land Pig ~ Kalistan

Yes, stupid idea to drag it, especially in the middle of the day in CA summer. I guess an ice chest full of cold ones back at the truck can call for despite measures! That was a really nice pig, except it looked tiny next to the mutant that the young lady took down that day.

Nice ones! Those cinnamons seem to come in bunches for me, great ducks!

California A zone - Anybody hunt it?

Effin A-zone! Hot, long days. I hunt SLO and SB every year, it's a good chance to spend a lot of days in the field with the long seasons. The late season hunts are nice to pack it in, plus bear, pigs and quail are also on the menu.

    kern county waterfowl area

Well, how was it? We refilled on Wednesday and it was slow. Took my young son and had a blast in the free roam on my otter/stealth boat, it's a great place to hunt.
