You may well be right but AZ didn’t crank up NR costs like NM did.. the cost to buy another elk point and stay in the game didn’t change in AZ, even if odds continue to erode. In NM the odds have been bad for awhile but the cost to play just jumped…

My sons friend made (ho-made) a 22 short single shot pistol and we took turns trying it out on a log pile at about 15 yards. Yep, my turn came and the ricochet shot myself right in the junk. No permanent damage to report
I agree with you passing that buck, you’re just hitting your stride, you’ve got the time off, weathers good, might as well keep the guides working for you. Better to keep it going and find something that excites you. Or go home knowing you did all you could.
