Gas/Fuel Price and hunting plans
We decided not to have kids. We paid off our mortgage over 25 years ago. I guess I was a bit out of touch with the costs of rent and child care. Damn !!! Has to be tough going for a young couple getting started in today’s world !!- F250

9/11 Lest we forget
I just had a conversation with my 13 year old great nephew. He wanted to talk about 9/11. Seems like several of his teachers discussed 9/11 at school at length this past week. I was VERY happy to hear that !!!- F250

Anyone Use a Savage 99?
Two years ago my father’s best hunting buddy gave me his Savage 99 in .300 Sav. just before he passed. He bought it when he got back from the Korean War. A stack of ammo came with it. Some had boxes marked with tags of $5.50. With the peep sight I can shoot 1.5” groups. I plan on using it this... -

I shot my first buck when I was 17 with a Remington 760 in .300 Sav. I sold the rifle to a farmer buddy when I needed a better rifle for work. He still uses it. -

DIY Wind Checker- Milkweed
Deer hunting one day in Quebec with a Canadian buddy. He handed me a small envelope of fabric fuzz for a wind checker. He claimed it was lint from Shania Twain’s belly button. 😂Crazy Canadians !!!
