Ah, I misunderstood. I thought you were offering outfitting support. I'd love to hear what you do. I've done a lot of digging into the DIY options, but your firsthand knowledge would be very helpful.
I'm curious to hear what you have to offer. Hugh at Willow Air is very nice and helpful. I'm considering a caribou hunt with them, but their moose hunts are just out of my price range right now. Still exploring options. Shoot me an email. [email protected]
Sadly, no. My stepson's graduation trip took priority, and I just didn't have the money. But I am going to go up and do a moose or caribou hunt in Alaska next fall. I'll hunt POW someday.
Well damn. That's good to know. Looks like the dog had a good time for sure. Would you mind sharing with me in a private message which river to avoid? I understand if you don't want to share.
I agree with you on that. I was leaning toward picking a river or geographical area that would be fun, and then focusing on whichever animal is most likely to be there. Kind of backwards, but the adventure is 90% of it.
Hey guys!
My buddy and I are putting together a 10-day hunt in Alaska next fall, and I'm in the process of contacting air charters, raft rental companies, etc. The dream is to do a float hunt, most likely targeting caribou (but I'll probably grab a moose tag as well) in the southern Brooks...

Christensen's 20 moa rail, Vortex rings, and Leupold VX 6 3-18x44 scope. I run Talley rings on some of my other guns. The other scopes are Leupold VX 3 4.5-14x40
That's good to know. I've heard that they can be hard to track unless it's a really good hit. I was back in my spot, glassing this evening. Didn't see him. I'll give it one more day and then look elsewhere. Things are starting to get green for sure, even more so than just two days ago. I'm...
Before my hunt this evening, I went to some BLM with a proper paper target so I could see what was going on. I think the issue wasn't the cold bore, but somehow, it was shooting 5" to the right at 200 yards. I adjusted the scope and let it cool for about 10 minutes, and checked my other rifle...
