He is 68. But I will say for 68 he is in very good shape and still pretty mobile. Has some limitations due to a broken femur way back when but still moves around well.- Elkhunter0626

Yep it’s a huge bummer. From what I’ve found out before having him apply to 61 it’s more of a quality hunt unit than quality bull unit. More chance to see a lot of bulls than a lot of big bulls but the big bulls can still be found. Hoping to just give him a great experience and a good quality...- Elkhunter0626

I didn’t want to risk bumping the bull by not giving him enough time after shooting. They are tough animals and even with a perfect shot with a bow sometimes it takes time. Definitely a good strategy if you are looking for any legal bull. But I will say there have been many times I have still seen herd bulls screaming and chasing cows during first rifle season.
