Live scope is great for staying on the school, especially perch. Its 100% not needed, but i wouldn't ice fishing without some type of electronics. Spend the cash on a guid for a day or two, then do your own thing.- djacker

Canada is tough to beat if you want to drive and want a troohy walleye. For a closer trip id look hard at SD. As mentioned above anywhere around the Webster area with a reputable guide your sure to catch some eyes and perch. Several area lakes have good crappie fishing too.- djacker

Where are you coming from? Lake of the woods is over rated, unless your on the Canadian side. The MN side looks like downtown St. Paul. Way to many people, even at the NW Angle.- djacker

Viper Slick trick failure?
That's not a failure. As stated above, it's cheap steel. I shot an elk with the same broadhead this year at 60 yards, got a pass through. I didn't find my arrow, however I did find a piece of blade just behind the front shoulder while cutting up meat. -

Shipping meat home
I spoke to him last year at Lake and Penn, seemed like a nice guy. He told me Alaska Air cargo goldstreak wouldn't ship our antlers home and said he'd ship all my antlers/meat for $900 on Monday using alaska air cargo. Shipping meat home
I used alaska air cargo last year for 220lbs of meat and 2 moose racks wrapped together. Super easy process. Cost me $650 for all of it. It would have been cheaper but, I flew on a Sunday. I had to use gold streak. I used plastic totes for my meat. It was still froze when I picked it up. I just...- djacker

Athlon riflescopes
I have an ares etr and have no complaints. I also have a vortex viper pst gen 2. In a side by side optical comparison the Athlon is better, to me at least. I also like the turret on the athlon better.
