I always am impressed with the bucks that come out of northwest Montana and the Idaho panhandle. I would think shooting one of those would be an ultimate whitetail hunt.
It will be an interesting game. I went to both schools and tend to cheer for the cats when they play eachother for no reason other than the beatings the cats took when I grew up. I always love a loser, hopefully the cats got it out of their system.
Agreed I voted yes but I do it all the time. Quartering my deer out this year with coyotes howling at point blank I was laughing to myself thinking I bet we could have a formidable fight right now. Couldn’t imagine had that been wolves.
I put a tree stand above an ehd deer a big bear was eating on. Seemed like a great idea until it got dark and the wind came up. Pretty sure my head lamp looked like a strobe light on the hike out. I will admit to being scared in the dark.
I have heard many horror stories even seen pictures of the perfect shot and I don’t understand it. Elk have a giant vital area. I have shoulder bladed a bull that I didn’t recover but I think I’ve shot 10 plus bulls I would have to count and most die in sight. 44 yards has been my longest shot...
