    Late season tents

I love my Kodiak Canvas but the only bad thing is if it rains or snows and it gets wet when it is time to take it down and head home, mildew is a definite problem. I sometimes have a 2 or 3 day trip home and I find myself having to take it out of the truck every night and spreading it out to...

    Late season tents

I will second the Kodiak Canvas tents. I have not been in the temperatures you described but did well in single digit temperatures and 40 mph winds in Colorado this year.

    Renewing fresh tracks

Big Fin - Thanks for the explanation, I really appreciate it. You guys do a great job and I will keep my eyes open for new episodes. Keep doing what you are doing.

    Renewing fresh tracks

Is it just me or does it seem that there is less content coming out these days? I am an avid follower of Fresh Tracks but there just seems to be very few actual hunting episodes especially involving Randy and Marcus. Hope everybody has a great new year.

    Fresh Tracks+

I have been watching the New Mexico hunt with your sweepstakes winner from California and was wondering if there was a third and final video coming. Keep up the good work, I have really enjoyed it.

    Zero Degree Bag

Not sure if you are truck camping or backpacking but I used a Kodiak Canvas bag last year and really like it. It is heavy, so would only work for truck camping but you will stay warm.

    Truck camp sleeping bags

Take a look at the Kodiak Canvas bag. It is plenty big and has a unique design to keep your shoulders warm. I also bought a quilt so it is good down to around zero. It is heavy so not a good choice for backpacking.

Kodiak tent, is it worth it?

Camped in my 10 x 10 on the way to a Montana elk hunt all the way from Texas. Easy to put up and take down and warms up quickly with a buddy heater ( I do not sleep with it on). The only issue I had was that it was wet each morning from snow and dew and I was worried about it getting mildewed...

    Bad news for Beau

Breaks my heart to hear this. Keep your head up Beau and you will get thru it. God’s plan is hard to understand sometimes but continue to have faith.

Changing rifles because of excess recoil.

I also went to the Past recoil pad to help mitigate felt recoil from my Tikka 300 wsm. It has made a tremendous difference.

Is parallax error a big deal while hunting?

My Vari X3I has a parallax adjustment on it.

165 gr Nosler Trophy Bonded Bullet

I have had great luck with the Federal Trophy Bonded Tip although I use 180 grain in a 3006. I have taken 5 cow elk with them and they go down very quickly. My Winchester shoots them just as well as the Accubond.

    Enclosed Trailer Conversion

Curious how long it takes to set those up and if they work if you have a bed cover. It is a 3 day drive for me and I want to be able to pull over and sleep when I get tired. Other option of course is a hard shell topper.

    Enclosed Trailer Conversion

Ouch, it is a long drive from Texas to Montana so I may have to to go to plan B.

    Enclosed Trailer Conversion

Thinking about doing something like that myself. Curious what it does to your gas mileage?
