    What are you guys paying for gas?

    around $4.40 here in portland ore metro area for plain 87 regular gas,,gone up .30 cents in just 5 days,and tina kotecs {our governer} gas tax hasnt even been shoved down our throats yet.

    How heavy are your day packs?

    i try to go light depending on conditions//im running about 12 lbs for good weather//closer to twenty or more for snow and cold.i carry just enough for a overnighter if i have to and basic bag and knife/saw for game.

    im gonna give the eberlestock recon a try,,got the majority of the options + the hand warmer for when it gets cold,,ive got my marisupal gear chestrig as a back up,,my sig i s binos fit in the recon better though.

    good luck joe,,i was expecting to draw your muzz hunt unit this year and was looking hard at unit 72,,but i got lucky and drew my 3rd choice unit 114-115 rifle,,,71-79 muzz was my 4th choice,,i would start up high at first,,good luck,,there is alot to look over in those units,,also eye balled...

    Hunting Solo by choice or circumstance

    i do both,,family and freinds when we all draw the same tags,,most of the time my out of state hunts are solo depending on what i draw in several states of applications and points,,once in a while i can partner up,,but80% out of state is solo,,kinda sucks once that big bull is down though.
