Anyone else getting antsy?
my cow hunt starts in a few weeks,and so far at least the southern part of my unit isnt on fire yet.hopefully they will have things in better shape in a couple of weeks im hoping,,but wouldnt be surprised if they went to full closure with the fires.- dan.kirkpatrick

literally 1/2 of oregon is on fire,,even main hwys and freeways are closed in parts of eastern oregon,,poor forest management starts at the top,,i blame the governer for dragging her feet on getting the national guard and contractors not coming soon enough,,just for comparisons the great...- dan.kirkpatrick

utv bed racks for off road,how tall is too tall?
the toy up rack{steel} is only 300lbs,,the 11' toy up ramps are aluminum at about 40 lbs each,,im tryin to go as light as posible,but when you load up for a big hunting trip,it seems like everything adds up pretty fast,,the bed of the truck im sure will be packed with plenty of "stuff", coolers ,ect- dan.kirkpatrick

utv bed racks for off road,how tall is too tall?
ive got about 10000 to 10500 on the truck fully loaded, with 600 lb trailer Tonge weight,gvrw is 8800,,trailer is aluminum so it fully loaded is around 5000,im problably over by a bit,have have seen alot way more overloaded than that,,my concern is going up some of the off angled forest roads...- dan.kirkpatrick

i got a 2026 yamaha wolverine x 2 1000 2 door,,a relatively small sxs at 1800 lbs//i got a toy up ramp setup,{used off of marketplace}with 11'loading ramps so the front tires are above cab,but rear tires and most of the weight is slightly above the bed by about 5" ,,im into my existing cargo...- dan.kirkpatrick

i just moved up to buying a side x side this year,but stiil need to pull my cargo trailer with camp and atv in trailer,,side x side wont fit in trailer so i got a" toy up" rack for my truck,,im sure i will have more sway like having a camper on,but was wondering how tall is too tall?,,loaded up...- dan.kirkpatrick

3/4 ton 4x4 recommendations
cp 4 pumps are bad,,either add the disaster prevention kit or replace the whole pump to the new pump that they make to replace the cp 4,,not made for american diesel lube standards.- dan.kirkpatrick

Plantar fascitis, question.
i had issues and couldnt hardly walk a few years ago,,i found these "treadlabs high arch insoles" and they have done great,,i wear the blue ones'high' and they also have replaceable soles that Velcro back on to change when they are worn,,price isnt bad,amazon,you might want to give them a...- dan.kirkpatrick

Rear locker decisions..
only thing ive seen on ford 6 speeds is that its hard to seal up the tranny pan for some reason they tend to develop pan gasket leaks often.- dan.kirkpatrick

i put a tru trac locker in the front of my dodge cummins and love it,{cheaper than a arb and no compressor needed,},it has no clutches to wear out,,gear drive and was under $1000 from east coast gear,{no labor} putiing one in a ford should be similar,,locker in the front is amazing and no...- dan.kirkpatrick

your right,with drawing a "a" tag in the primary as a 2nd choice ,the computerized system will not let me try for another "a" tag in the secondary draw. There were a few good options i was gonna try for and if i drew,try to exchange my current tag ,but the computer system wouldn't let me try in...- dan.kirkpatrick
