    Northern Michigan Grouse Hunting

    The last 2 years have been horrible. This last fall was year 50 for me in the grouse covers and it was the worse I've ever seen. I've got a young dog so I'm sure he will see some great hunts in the years to come but it's been frustrating. I still love it though.

    Was just off on a family vacation but took a day to go look for new to me grouse covers. Actually saw a number of birds, the young and dumb look so goofy with no tail feathers yet.

    Decoy gang rigs

    Have used strings for years on divers. One 18" drop permanently attached to the decoy with a HUGE snap swivel on the end. The line itself has a HUGE 3 way swivel every 6'. On both ends of this line are 12' drops for the anchors. Make them as long as you want - we put 20 decoys per line. The 18"...
