NM 51A mule deer
Hey all! I have a NM 51A mule deer tag this year, Nov 1-5. First year hunting muleys and I have an ok idea of things. I am curious if the rut here in NM is later than the mid-late November since we are further south but the elevation here is a bit high. I have found some does around but do not... -

What are your 2025 Hunting Plans
NM 51 Archery Mule Deer and Elk with Husbands tag. No harvest but was a great learning experience. I have NM 51A mule deer rifle in Nov. Spent last 3 years learning elk since I drew the tags, now trying to figure out mule deer.- burmk

NM Unit 51 December Muzzleloader - what to expect?
My husband has drawn that tag a few times. He's nailed a cow each time. He'd love a bull but took the cow when they came first. Still tasty! We haven't actually needed to be around 9k elevation when we got into elk for that hunt. It was funny hearing a Bugle in December though. -

I grew up in Ut and hardly hunted there except when I was very young. I moved to NM with my husband in 2019 he encouraged me to apply for hunts. I drew my first elk tag last year for 5b tag soup for me that year, and drew 3rd rifle this year for 51. lots of game here in looking forward to...
