Sat phones, Spot messenger, Emergency devices
Yup InReach all the way. Bluetooth it to your phone for easier message sending if you want. I pay the insurance for the sos button if I need it. It’s nice being able to let me wife or whoever know what’s going on. Check in with the weather, my pilots get the score of the game from my buddy...- BRWNBR

Back country solar? Or battery pack? Or both?
My sun is not dependable. We have clouds where I live.so solar didn’t cut it. I carry small battery pack about the size of my cell phone. Use it to charge my InReach or my phone if I need it. Phones for taking pictures or watching movies. No service where I hunt.- BRWNBR

10 day back pack hunt
i would add a space blanket or lightweight tarp of some sort. i wouldn't be caught out there with a down sleeping bag i'd have merino wool...stuff don't stink after weeks in it. better than synthetic slim the ammo down. caribou die easy you also never mentioned fuel for the jet boil..bring...- BRWNBR
