Let’s talk about firewood
Lots of good wood options here in Northern CA. Madrone, Black Oak, Blue Oak, Cedar, Doug Fir… I like cutting wood because it’s tangible. You can see what you accomplished for the day. Plus you just can’t beat wood heat in the wintertime.- Blacktailbc

Kuiu attack pants
Great pants . Worth the money. So nice not to be fighting your pants when walking uphill. Even with a heavy pack making your drawers sag a little, there is no fighting the stretchy material. Pretty dang durable. Leg vents are nice. If it’s super cold I just wear some long underwear underneath them.- Blacktailbc

Wax, spary or gel case lube for sizing
This. I put 40 or so in a gallon zip lock. Spray liberally with “One Shot”. Shake & roll around, spray till they are coated nicely. Resize. Fast & Effective.- Blacktailbc

Serious weed help needed.
I don’t know about that big of a field, but on my lawn Dimension pre-emergent herbicide works well. You put it down in early spring before the broadleaf weeds sprout. Doesn’t kill the lawn, just prevents weeds from coming up...- Blacktailbc
