How many tags will be alocated to residents vs non residents? Not sure how I feel about archery starting in August, most years it's pretty hot. I'm a little worried about spoilage. I will usually skip the beginning of Sept. when it's still 90 degrees.
Couldn't agree more. Once the laws start it just seems to be a domino effect. We be honest with ourselves within our abilities. I have taken longer than 500 yard shots a couple of times, but everything was perfect, wind, good rest, and time, plus I shoot my rifles a lot at distance.
I would check with the search and rescue in whatever state you are in. Here in Montana garmin is the way to go. Our search and rescue have a deal through garmin, and can text with us for more updated information in an emergency. It's the only one they recommend.
I have a goal zero, dark energy and a couple other unbranded ones. And out of thoes I like my dark energy (10000mAh), I like that it keeps a good charge in the cold and is tough as nails. I know people who carry the ankors and they seem to like them.
I've never used them, but I was talking to a few people at the TAC shoot in Big Sky a couple of weeks ago who were shooting the FOB ones. They seemed to like them..... I only saw one stuck in a tree.
