    New to elk hunting

Calling the forest service can go along way if you ask the right questions. Also if your new to a spot I try and make my self and my camp as mobile as possible. So if your two or so days into a hunt moving on to another areas isn’t the end of the world if your not finding elk. Happy hunting

    Fixed 2 blade broadheads

A few years ago I took and chance on some broad heads called iron will outfitters. They cost 100 bucks for 3. Never looked back. Shooting at 70 yards they fly great. And penetrate better then any other then I’ve shot. They have a life time warranty and they honor it. Fully. Good luck and happy...

    "Camping" on elk?

Did it a few times in Idaho and Montana . Just one thing to remember is the thermal change in the evening and morning. Making sure not to send sent the wrong way. One little tip... Hammocks Are cheap and light. being off the ground in a nice warm bag can get a guy some nice sleep

    First time elk hunter

the Better the call the better the odds. Private or public. Over the past few years I’ve had a hard time getting an answer from older calls. Have had some great luck with Rocky Mountain mouth reeds and Phelps game calls also. Good luck
