My 12 year old daughter had the good fortune to draw her 1st pronghorn antelope tag this past fall. We had a great time looking for speedgoats, but we weren't able to get out for the opener weekend, which made for a tougher hunt, but ultimately more rewarding.
I bumped the kids up this past fall from the venerable 22-250 to the 6.5 CM for a little more power. I decided to take the plunge and invest in Sig's BDX range finding bins, and scope, and so far am happy with the results. (I explain a little more of that in the video) We used 129 grain Barnes TSX bullets, and in the video you can see the results speak for themselves. I know many guys love to hate on the 6.5CM, but I really enjoy it, and we used it for around a dozen harvests this year, with nary a hiccup.
Hope you enjoy!
