I carry an Outdoor Edge replaceable as well, but THIS is my go to and favorite. Mora Kniv 6in with a rubberized handle. Ridiculously sharp and easy to touch up (not needed for a least 2-3 animals) ......add to that the cost is UNDER $20 and it is crazy. Love this knife.

I have 2 different Morakniv knives. They are serious value. I have a couple much higher dollar knives that dull way faster and weigh more. My Morakniv does more work for me on breaking down an animal than any other these days.

This, I made it myself. 1095 steel, Pine tree Burl form the area I like to hunt. My good friend made the holster.

In the 35 plus years I have had this knife, it has taken apart more animals than I can even remember. Got it free for signing up for a magazine or something. Also carry a Gerber Vital nowadays. mtmuley

Just what is printed on it. Imperial. I've had it 35 years or so. I love the contour. Probably could have a custom made to match with better steel. mtmuley

Bought a hot pink handle when I thought I left my black one at a gut pile. Also tried these gut hook blades this year. Worked pretty good. Guess I forgot to wash it

Hard to beat a Buck 110 for a first knife. Learn to sharpen it.

Outdoor edge knife (german stollinger knife?) grandpa gave me before he died.

Geeber knife wife got me for my birthday. S35 steel seems good.

I don't have any pictures but I carry a Benchmade Hidden Canyon for a field blade. I like to use it for all of the prying cuts if you will. Basically anywhere where I feel a replaceable might snap off. I also carry a Goat Ibex replaceable for all other work.

I was just gifted a knife from NDGuy by another HT friend.


It's so beautiful,but I am not afraid of getting it a little soiled. That and a Gerber Vital will do just fine.
I broke the tip of my old Uncle Henry I have used 40 years last year.
