I saw this in the woods Saturday while out turkey hunting on a piece of public land in West Central Illinois. No clue who the guy is, but I thought it was a pretty cool tribute for a hunter. And that’s a stud buck in the photo.

that is a sweet buck, ol' Jerry made a big impact on someone for them to make that sign and then go out to the woods to hang it in memory and honor of the life he lived

That's cool stuff. If I was you I'd be deer hunting there. 79 years and 79 harvests. I'm sure whoever hung the plank hung it near his favorite spot. You might need to harvest a stud buck in his spot to honor his memory! Haha

Exactly what I thought there's a reason it's on "that tree". That's pretty cool.

I'd offer a tribute of some Honor before I hounded in on the area. A beer, some jerky from a past harvest, or my trail mix. Maybe a recent Playboy.....
