Oh that definitely earned another donation. Can't stand that lady!if you haven't had a fire lit under your ass yet to give money to CRWM here's some spark and tinder:
Carole Baskin brings her celebrity to Colorado to ban trophy hunting
Carole Baskin joined Channel 2 for an exclusive conversation about the push for a new ballot measure in Colorado.kdvr.com
I have never seen or heard Carole Baskin, but never forget we are talking about denver, Boulder, and Fort collins voters. Logical talking points don't matter, emotion will to them.Honestly I think the Carole baskin thing hurts those wing nuts in the long run… I think most Joe schmoes associate her negatively… anytime she is mentioned is “that bitch Carole baskin”
Yep. This was never a “grassroots” movement. CATS brought in Samantha Miller Bruegger, former executive director of Washington Wildlife First, after her success in eliminating spring bear hunting and flipping the Washington Wildlife Commission to an anti-hunting majority. The major proponent is Animal Wellness Action/Center for a Humane Economy, a national organization that has targeted Colorado and Washington for anti-hunting initiatives within their national campaign. They were founded by Wayne Pacelle, disgraced former CEO of Humane Society. Also as an inside man with CATS… this “grass roots” movement has paid for signature gatherers out there now, since it was apparent they were not going to hit the signature goal organically. How commie, errr I mean grass roots of them…
Do you see me on every @Treeshark (or other wisconsinite) thread bitching about NR opportunity in WI? No...
No not specifically… you were the first Wisco HTer I could think ofI have a thread?
Understandable. I can’t help myself but to get excited when NRs come here to enjoy hunting or fishing (or just having fun in other ways). I try to always go out of my way to be welcoming.
I’m sure you can relate
@Oak, @TOGIE , @TheGreek, @MtnElk: please consider causes like this in the future when discussing things like 90/10.
We are better off taking things like this on together, and that type of initiative chases NR support away.
who cares about 90/10 with this stuff.
Many people, as they should.
You can’t just uncouple the two only when convenient, it doesn’t work that way.
Exactly, the NR better care way more about the current Ballot Box stuff way more than they should care about allocations. In one hand with 90/10 they are still guaranteed tags and the more animals on the land the more tags they get... If we reduce the herds by 50% or more with predators then the tag allocations will be cut for all. The more the resident opportunity gets cut the less NR will have. It is a snowball effect that many are ignoring...i'm not uncoupling them. still hoping for tighter allocations someday.
this is about hunters fighting to maintain their legacy and privilege and it ultimately affects everyone everywhere. if people don't care that much then they don't care that much and that's one thing, but not being able to set aside or purposefully not setting aside an allocation discussion over it shows true colors IMO.
in the end i just. don't. care. about these types of allocation discussions anymore. you do you and i'm gonna keep giving money to crwm - i'll give 50 bucks on your behalf if that helps
in the end i just. don't. care. about these types of allocation discussions anymore.
You should, and this issue is exactly why.
Less NR opportunity= less NR support.
