lots of elk up that way for the most part. If your carrying a rifle you should have no issues if you try hunting at least a week.
try the scouting trip as late as possible at least sometime in Oct so you can get some scouting with the leaves off.. its hill country so do some hiking.. are you bringing a ATV?
