You've heard of animals getting killed by falling timber and today I found proof of it. I was out wandering through the woods and I spotted this rooster tail-feather sticking up out of the grass and naturally I had to pull it out. Poor bird apparently died when that branch fell on him. I started keeping an eye on the trees after that as there was a lot of blow downs in that area.
