Wyoming general question

Archery season in the Unit I’m hunting ends 9/25 and rifle starts the next day. My question is, can I continue to hunt with my bow or do I have to pick up the rifle?

Not sure on elk but when I had a moose tag in Wyoming I was able to archery hunt during the rifle hunt. Just had to wear orange.

Yes ^ typically in any western state you can always use a bow in rifle season, but you have to wear orange. Side note in MT you have to wear orange when hunting the spring bear season with a bow, because it's technically a rifle season.

You can hunt with a bow during rifle season, BUT you can not hunt with a rifle during special archery seasons. In my case, archery deer and rifle elk run concurrently where I am hunting at, so I get to carry both a bow and rifle. As long as I use the right one on the right critter I am good. Verified it with one of two wardens who are assigned to my area.

You don't have to wear orange in Wyoming....you can wear pink if it suits ya, Passed law last year heard they we trying to boost NR sales to California and Colorado residents.....lol

If it’s rifle season and you are carrying archery equipment pink/orange is a must.
