New in Box: Lyman Great Plains Hunter muzzleloader in 54 Caliber. Right hand with percussion ignition. This Hawken style rifle has never been fired and these have not been manufactured since 2018. Manufactured by InvestArms in Italy.
This hard to find "Hunter" version of the Great Plains Rifle has the faster 1:32 twist, so it can accommodate conical bullets, which are superior to patch roundballs for big game hunting.
If you've spent time looking, you've probably realized it isn't easy to find a quality rifle that is compliant with the Montana muzzleloader season rules. The Lyman GP Hunter is one of the better ones. $850
