Does anyone have experience with the Winchester model 100 extractor problems. I understand that it's a common issue with them. I'm going to look into getting an upgraded extractor kit. Are there any recommendations?

is it sticking? not allowing it to fully slide all the way out?
They get gunked up quite easily and stick... you can usually get a small punch and some oil in it and get it moving again. Oil the extractor and the pin hole and tap it with the punch lightly. Dont push the pin out just get it moving a little to free it up. If I was home I would post a pic showing where they usually have the issue.

I haven't fired it. It belongs to a friend that says that it doesn't grab the empty fired cases. I have an extractor kit coming from Nu-line that should be coming next week. I'll tear it apart when I have the pieces in hand and replace whatever looks funky and clean the action.
