Whitewater WMA (MN)

I drew a permit to turkey hunt Whitewater WMA. I’m headed down that way in a couple of weeks and I’m pretty excited. I’ve never explored Whitewater and I’ve never hunted turkeys. Winter won’t loosen its grip in the northern part of the state this year so it will be nice to enjoy some spring weather, chase some turkeys around and pick up some sheds. I’m not looking for turkey tips or spots but just wondering where the best place to camp is. Is the campground at Whitewater state park the best spot to set up camp for 4 or 5 nights?

I live in Rochester, for now, but tons of turkeys there! Bring your rod too. Lots of great trout fishing there!

Lots of turkeys down there. Should be a fun hunt! I've never looked into camping, but the state park is where I'd start my search too. Seems like it's probably a good bet.
